How Actualog works

Actualog turns fragmented product information into governed Product Profiles 360° and then reuses those profiles across catalogs, organizations, systems, and AI-ready channels.

The exact workflow differs by organization, but the underlying sequence is consistent.

1. Bring product information together

Product information may originate in:

  • ERP and product master systems;
  • PLM, PDM, CAD, and engineering files;
  • spreadsheets and legacy databases;
  • product documents, certificates, drawings, and manuals;
  • images, diagrams, video, and other media;
  • websites and existing digital catalogs;
  • manufacturer, supplier, customer, or partner feeds;
  • manual expert knowledge.

Actualog does not assume that one source already contains the complete truth. Different sources may remain authoritative for different fields.

  • ERP may own product codes and commercial status.
  • PLM or PDM may own engineering specifications.

  • Actualog may own the governed public description, category template, catalog readiness, and external product-data exchange.

2. Standardize categories, attributes, and terminology

Before products can be compared or exchanged reliably, the organization must define what each product category means and how it should be described.

Actualog uses:

A practical first step

Do not try to model every product at once.

Start with one product family, one category, one catalog, or one supplier/import source. Use that pilot to answer:

  1. Which fields are required?
  2. Which system owns each field?
  3. Which values need controlled lists or units?
  4. Which documents and media are required?
  5. Who reviews and approves changes?
  6. Which catalog or integration will use the result first?

Then scale the model using what you learned.

Choose the scenario that matches your organization
