Brand management

Use Brand management to maintain the brand names that your selected company uses in Actualog product data.

A brand is not just a label in a product row. It is part of product identity, search, catalog presentation, import matching, and company authority. Products can reference a brand only when the brand exists in the company brand list or is otherwise available through Actualog governance.

What the page is for

Use this page when you need to:

  • add a company brand before creating or importing products;
  • edit a brand name or multilingual display text;
  • maintain aliases that users, imports, or integrations may use for the same brand;
  • see how many products already reference each brand;
  • deactivate or delete a brand when it is safe to do so.

Open it from Company Workspace → Brands.

Add a brand

  1. Select the correct company workspace.
  2. Open Company Workspace → Brands.
  3. Use Add a brand.
  4. Enter the brand name.
  5. Add aliases if the brand is commonly written in another way.
  6. Save the brand.
  7. Use the brand when creating products, importing products, or linking products to categories.

Use the official brand name when possible. Put spelling variations, abbreviations, local names, or legacy names into aliases instead of creating duplicate brands.

Edit a brand

Select a brand from the list, update its name or aliases, and save.

Be careful with brands that already have products. Changing a brand can affect product search, product identity, catalog filters, and import matching.

Delete or deactivate a brand

A brand can be deleted only when no products reference it.

If the page says that the brand still has products, first review the product list and either move those products to the correct brand or keep the brand active. Actualog blocks unsafe deletion because removing a referenced brand would make existing product data inconsistent.

What the list shows

Each brand row can show:

  • the brand display name;
  • the normalized key used for matching;
  • aliases;
  • the number of products using the brand;
  • edit and delete actions that depend on your permissions and on product references.
